Birthday Goals

Yesterday was the 22nd, three months away from my 27th birthday. Almost two years ago I wrote a post on my 25th birthday marking my quarter century. I wrote a list of the things I wanted to accomplish before I turned 26. How did I do? Lets take a look!

I think I did pretty well.

Financial Goals:
1. I want to pay off my OSAP completely.
I want to save another $10,000.
3. I want to be able to pay for my PGDE at Strathclyde Uni full out.

Personal Goals:
1. Reach my goal weight by December 2011. I am only 12 lbs away!
2. Maintain my goal weight.
3. Attend the University of Strathclyde for my PGDE Primary in August 2012.
4. Plan a trip around America and Canada before going to school in August 2012.
5. Try to maintain my clean eating (lets just forget today happened... ;) ).

Fitness Goals:
1. Maintain a good level of fitness and tone up my body.
2. Do a chin-up.
3. Run 5km in 35 minutes by December 2012

Financial:

I paid off all of my student loans by the time I was 25 and a half, saved another $10,000 and paid for my entire year at university to do my Professional Graduate Diploma in Education.

Personal:

I completed about half of what I wanted. I completed my PGDE in Primary Education, and travelled around Scotland for the second time. I managed to lose those 12 lbs, reach my goal weight, and then gain them all back. I am still really good at eating well, but when I eat badly I do it with a thrashing! Binge eating to the max. Iz eatz all the foodz.

Fitness:

I am pretty happy with my level of fitness currently. I am in a pretty decent state of "fat fit" right now.  If I could control my eating, I would be exactly where I want to be. My problem is I don't do anything part way. With alcohol, I over do it. With food, I over do it. With trusting people, I over do it. I'm a go big or go home kinda girl and I need to put that towards my fitness. Since I have pretty much cut out all alcohol, I can no longer use being hungover as hell as an excuse.

I am signing up for the Tough Mudder on September 28th or 29th outside of Toronto, and so I have an excellent goal. Since the beginning of this year I have attended a Military Style Bootcamp, Spinning, Boxercise and Circuits. I have also realized that I really push myself in classes much more than I do on my own at the gym.

Goals for the fall of my 27th Birthday (by December 2013). I only have 4.
- Find a job teaching in Ontario. (Those teachers in Ontario know how hard this is)
- Complete the Tough Mudder.
- Buy my own car/Get my drivers license. (These two go hand in hand)
- Find a church I connect with and join their choir.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy?....I wish!

  1. Fantastic goals, and congrats on reaching the ones you already set. It is surprising how much that can be achieved if you have your eyes in the prize, isn't it?
